NEW JERSEY ALLIANCE OF MASTER PLUMBERS ARRIVES

New Jersey Alliance of Master Plumbers Holds Inaugural Meeting in East Brunswick 

February 11th 2011- On February 11th, the New Jersey Alliance of Master Plumbers held their inaugural meeting at the Days Hotel and Conference Center in East Brunswick, New Jersey. The small gathering of approximately twenty included original signatories who petitioned the International Association of Plumbing & Mechanical Officials (IAPMO) and other invited guests. Among the guests were the New Jersey State League of Master Plumbers Past President and Legislative & Code Chairman Steven Rodzinak. Other guests included New Jersey State Board of Examiners of Master Plumbers Chairman Peter Voros who was joined by William White from the New Jersey Council of Master Plumbers.

Also attending the inaugural was was special guest, Director Sean Cleary of IAPMO who also is chairman of the American Society of Sanitary Engineering Cross Connection Control Technical Committee. Guests were treated to a special buffet and served by the popular girls from the Hooters Restaurant that has a location within the Hotel & Conference Center.

Attendees were given IAPMO resources by Sean Cleary who also spoke to them about the benefits of becoming an IAPMO chapter. Later in the evening, Mr. Cleary swore in two of the three Alliance Officers. Orlando Oliva who is Treasurer and Thomas F. Walsh, the Organizations first President. Mr. Walsh received a plaque from Mr. Cleary bearing the new Charter. Unable to attend the meeting was Alliance Secretary Anthony Schiavone. All three comprise the Associations' Board of Directors.
